The Summer Games are getting underway in London, where thousands of athletes will compete for gold, silver and bronze medals in dozens of events. Each venue will be different, and each open-air arena and stadium will bring weather effects into the competition.
London's weather has been troublesome recently, which doesn't bode well for the Summer Games. However, according to WSI London meteorologist Leon Brown, conditions are setting up that could lead to wonderful conditions for the outdoor events in the first week of competition.
