Tornado touches down near Moose Jaw

At least one tornado touched down west of Moose Jaw on Tuesday evening as part of a powerful storm system that swept across southern and central Saskatchewan. John Paul Cragg, an Environment Canada warning preparedness metrologist, confirmed a large wedge tornado hit an open field near Mortlach around 5:30 p.m., bringing with it hail and strong winds but no damage.
